Apostle Etta Banks

Apostle Etta Banks accepted JESUS as her LORD and SAVIOR on August 8, 1976 in Pittston, PA. She relocated to Baltimore, MD in 1983. She became an active member of The Spirit and the Bride Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Pastors Robert and Annette Stagmer. There, she faithfully served as trustee, member of the intercessory prayer team, Asst. Director of WIC (Women in Christ and Women in Crisis) support group, choir director and President of the Parent Teacher’s Association at their academy.

After the closing of the church and school in 1989, Apostle Banks joined East Baltimore Deliverance Church, under the leadership of Apostle Christina Holtsclaw where she was established in outreach ministry, visiting hospitals, nursing homes and prisons. She was also a member of the Deliverance Team and The Board of Trustees. She taught Bible studies and life skills to men in transition at Christopher’s Place Employment Academy. In 1994, Etta Banks was licensed and ordained. She was then appointed head of the Couples Ministry for East Baltimore Deliverance Church.

In January, 2003 Apostle Banks was installed as Pastor of New Vision for Life which she founded. The ministry is vibrantly located in Gwynn Oak, Maryland. Ministries include; New Vision for Love Couple’s Ministry, Men and Women’s groups, Youth department, Praise and Worship team, Personal and Family counseling, along with Children’s Church.

Among her accolades are Evangelical Theological Seminary, Institute of Motivational Living-Certified Behavioral Counselor, Certified Gifts Assessment Counselor/Trainer, Certified Prison Ministry Counselor, Certified through H.A.N.D.S.’s Mentorship Program, certified Member of American Association of Christian Counselors. Served under Apostle James Nelson Sr, founder of W.A.R. (World Assemblies of Restoration).

She attended School of the Prophets for 4 yrs under founder Bishop Rodney S. Walker, School of the Seer under founder Apostle Dr. Pam Archibald, School of Intercession at Word College under Apostle Kimberly Daniels and continues to receive mentoring in Deliverance from Dr. Erica Shepherd.

In 2005 she came under the Apostolic Covering of Apostle Winston and Pastor Jacqueline Trought of Covenant on the Rock Ministries, International, in Hyannis, Ma. In 2008 she was consecrated to the office of Bishop. 2012 Apostle Trought and board, appointed then Bishop Banks, second in command of the Covenant on the Rock Int’l Apostolic Fellowship. In the LORD’s year 2015, Bishop Banks was called by GOD and appointed by Apostle Trought to the office of the Apostle. Apostle Trought received his wings and went home to be with the LORD April 2018. Apostle Banks, along with Apostle Jenean Griffen of Philadelphia, PA, established their new organization, New Vision of Joy Int’l Fellowship.

It is the heartfelt desire of Apostle Banks to inspire, motivate, provoke and encourage others to discover their GOD-given gifts, as she trains and empower them reach their full potential in Christ Jesus.

Apostle Banks, by the awesome guidance of the Holy Spirit, prays that those who come into contact with her will acquire a “New Vision For Life“.

Apostle Banks has two daughters, Danielle and Damitra, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
